H.E.R.E. works with local organizations that support individuals, families, and communities across the region. Community partners play an important role by helping students understand how services and support systems function in real-world settings.
We recognize that community organizations are often working with limited time and resources, so participation is designed to be flexible and manageable.
Ways to participate:
Partners may choose to participate in ways that work best for them, including:
- Hosting a small group of students for a site visit
- Sharing information about the services your organization provides
- Speaking with students about your work and the needs you see in the community
- Collaborating with a student on a small project or resource that may benefit your organization
Participation can be as simple as a conversation with students or as involved as mentoring a student project.
